Williams Dam, Oliver Winery
It was a beautiful day for a top-down drive.
Starting in Evansville, Indiana we traveled 2-lane highways north to
Washington and Lagootee Indiana. Then on a secondary county highway
thru Martin and Lawrence counties that turned out to be a fantastic
drive with numerous twists, curves and hills, with stops at the
Williams Dam on the White River, and a covered bridge over the White
River. The third leg of the drive took us on some un-marked county
roads connecting small towns in Lawrence and Monroe counties with more twists,
curves and hills, ending at Highway 37 on the southern side of
Bloomington. Highway 37 then took us around Bloomington to the Oliver
Winery. The drive home was uneventful but included a stop at a nice
Mexican restaurant in Washington, Indiana. 255 Miles total trip.
